Short Description:

Plastic Raschig ring is a earliest development of random packing,which its height is equal to outside diameter. Since Plastic Raschig Ring was invented by German Chemist Friedrich Rashig in 1914, Tower packing’s development had entered the track of science.

In actual application, owing to its closed cylindrical structure, it will easy to lead to liquid’s bias flow,channel flow and wall follow phenomenon’s happen. Furthermore, big liquid hold-up in packing layer will increase air & liquid passing time and form big resistance. Since 1940s, Plastic Raschig Ring has been gradually replaced by Pall ring. However, owing to Raschig ring gave the packed column consistency and dependability,so  Raschig Rings remain one of the most widely used tower packing materials,so it is one of the most widely used tower packing materials.
