Typical Application
1: used in packed towers for the stripping (removal) of volatile organic carbons (VOCs) and other gases or scrubbing (absorption) of gases which can include neutralization of acidic gases.
2: Scrubbing applications for VSP Ring include absorbing and neutralizing acidic gases such as HCL, SO2 and NOXs
3: use in scrubbers at rendering and municipal wastewater treatment plants achieving over 99.8% hydrogen sulfide absorption.
4: stripping applications include the stripping from groundwater of organic solvents such as trichloroethylene, perchloroethylene, trichloroethane and gasoline components commonly referred to as BTEXs (benzene, toluene, ethylbenzene and xylene).
5: used in degassing applications to remove carbon dioxide or radon and in aerators to oxygenate water for aquaculture applications.
Feature
1. The hiflow packing provides the lowest pressure drop of all the random plastic tower packing types;
2. The low DP / unit height of packed beds allows hiflow packing:
– a high tower capacity, which in turn allows for smaller column diameters and fans in new bespoke designs;
– a significant reduction in the unit energy consumption;
3. The highly efficient 2-phase contact, even at low throughputs, yields a high separation performance and facilitates a reduced packed height in new bespoke designs;
